I don’t expect Chinese New Year to arrive so soon and yet it do and it is coming very near on next week! I don’t feel excited nor feel the atmosphere of the season. What’s on my mind was – Yeah, I am going home soon and that’s it! How simple? How sad, I not even buy many for my new dresses this time and I really don’t feel like Chinese New Year! As my boss said this is not a good thing for a Chinese New Year to come so early in the beginning of the year especially now during the recession times, it could be worse. So do not expect so much for the ‘value’ of ang pow this year! Don't complain as times are bad! Ouch.. painful!
I can see the decorations in the shopping malls, they are not too attractive nor over-done. It’s just simple and nice? It is understandable why is it so because of the down graded economic and the there were few celebrations dropped by in a row within a month. Sucks! Firstly were the Christmas celebration, then New Year 2009 and then now Happy Chinese New Year? Congrats to all especially to Chinese! Why? Ask yourself, do all these festive here need a single cent of penny? Yes, they do and where is the cash come from? And how much we can earn within a month time and remember our dad do not print money!
Anyway, I am still very glad that I didn’t get affected too much or maybe not at all? *evil grins* I have no commitment and thanks god for that but then my parents do! Other then worried for them, I prayed hard so that they still hold their job tightly! Amen. God will look after us but do save money please! Because if you are not helping yourself and nobody does! So to all my buddies out there, don’t gamble too much during Chinese New Year! You get it right? Anyway, still Gong Xi Fa Cai to you all and best of luck on your little gambling! (It’s just simply one of the Chinese peoples’ cultures to “dou” during CNY) Hence, no gamble, no fun and a little gambling won’t die! *giggle* agree?
I am looking forward for the CNY though I am not in the mood. But then I always knew that whenever I see my loved ones, I will still smile no matter what! Got a lot of gathering to catch up and it seems that everyone of them were so busy on their works and they are only having two days leave for this season while I will be having 10 days leave! My boss is always cool, don’t you know that? LOL~
However, not to be forgotten that I do have this bunch of law books with me during this red season as well. Now, you know why I can be happy no more when these books are all around and I got no excuse but to spend time on them too! *suck* I got task to do also even though I am on the holiday leave! Can I still enjoy? I dare not to think more!
Yet to mention that I miss the island so much! Missed listening to the waves and beach and the sea winds! Good news, I am going back very soon and yes, buddy, I will help to ‘take care’ of your brother and watch his speed and make sure that we both arrive the island safely! (because I am one of the so very ‘kia-si’ too!) ah ha, what a sweet brother of him to remind me of this? *winks*
